San Martino delle Scale Spring Festival

The 67th edition of the Spring Festival was held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, in San Martino delle Scale, in the Municipality of Monreale. At 10:00 AM, in Piazza Platani, the preparation of the "Castelluccio" carts took place, along with the performance of the "Annakamuni Picciotti" folk group. At 11:00 AM, the parade of decorated carts moved from Piazza Platani to Piazza P. Semeria, where at 12:30 PM, Abbot Dom Vittorio Rizzone OSB proceeded with the release of the doves, evoking the ancient legend of the birds welcomed into the cloister during a harsh winter in the 14th century. The day concluded with the tasting of typical Sicilian products organized by the Pro Loco.
