San Liberatore Procession

2025 Edition

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, the community of Mugnano del Cardinale, in the province of Avellino, gathered for the San Liberatore Procession. The procession started from the Maria Santissima del Carmine parish and traveled along Via Garibaldi to Piazza Umberto I, reaching the Sanctuary of Santa Filomena, one of the symbolic places of local devotion.

Inside the sanctuary, the Holy Rosary was recited and the Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Father Giuseppe Autorino, rector of the sanctuary, before the processional return of the statue to the parish and its placement back in the niche. Local associations, municipal representatives, the statue bearers, and the local police, who managed security along the route, all took part in the day.
