Edition 2025 — San Leone Longi
San Leone Festival 2025 in Longi
In 2025, the people of Longi celebrated their patron saint San Leone on February 20th, as they do every year, to mark the anniversary of the saint's death. The day began with Holy Mass at the Mother Church of San Michele Arcangelo, followed by the traditional procession of the saint's statue through the streets of the historic center of Longi (ME).
The parade was accompanied by the marches of the Vincenzo Bellini band, with great participation from the faithful, emigrants who returned for the occasion, and local authorities. The festival was then renewed on the first Sunday of May, with the thanksgiving celebration linked to the miracle of 1851, confirming the strong bond between the Nebrodi community and its patron saint.
