Edition 2025 — San Leo Carnival

In 2025, the San Leo Carnival did not yet have a dedicated edition: the festival officially began only in 2026, with the first edition organized by the Municipality of San Leo and the Società San Leo 2000. In previous years, the Carnival period in the Montefeltro village was mainly experienced as a family and school tradition, awaiting the first public parade of floats.

Before 2026, San Leo did not have a public and structured Carnival event like the one inaugurated in the 2026 season. The Carnival period was nevertheless celebrated in the Montefeltro village, in the province of Rimini, through popular tradition, masks, and parties organized by local schools and associations.

The idea of creating a true San Leo Carnival, with a parade of floats in the historic centre and entertainment in Piazza Dante Alighieri, took shape precisely in view of 2026, the year of the first edition. The new event aims to become a regular fixture and a shared tradition for the entire community of San Leo.
