San Giuseppe Patronal Festival

Third centenary of the patronage of San Giuseppe (1725-2025)

In 2025, the San Giuseppe Patronal Festival in Capurso took on a special significance, celebrating 300 years since the proclamation of the saint as the city's patron. The festivities took place from May 24 to 26, 2025, preceded by the preparatory triduum and the anniversary of the coronation of the Madonna del Pozzo.

On Saturday, May 24, the tour of the Città di Capurso Town Band opened the day, followed by holy mass in the Mother Church, the lighting of the illuminations, the procession of the Painting of San Giuseppe, and the musical show by the group Terraross in Piazza Gramsci. On Sunday, May 25, the main day, after the holy masses, the handing over of the city keys to the Patron Saint by Mayor Michele Laricchia took place, followed by the procession of the statue accompanied by the band and, at midnight, the FireLight fireworks display. On Monday, May 26, the Gran Concerto Città di Bisceglie and the procession of the Painting with a stop at the Sanctuary closed the festivities.
