San Giuseppe Bonfires 2025

The 2025 edition of the San Giuseppe bonfires took place in Castelluccio Valmaggiore around March 19th, the day of the patron saint. As per the centuries-old tradition, large wood pyres were set up and lit in various parts of the village in the Monti Dauni, creating an evening of celebration and community.

The event, promoted by the Fraternita di Misericordia with the parish of San Giovanni Battista and the support of the Municipality of Castelluccio Valmaggiore, combined the saint's procession with food and wine trails set up in the historic center, featuring grilled meat and local cuisine. Around the bonfires, there was no shortage of music, conviviality, the distribution of blessed bread to those over 70, and fireworks to close the evening.
