The 2025 edition of the San Giuseppe 'a Spiga Festival in Augusta began on Thursday, May 8, with the lighting of artistic illuminations, a lecture by Professor Paolo Giansiracusa on a 17th-century painting, and the presentation of the "Silver Lily" Award. Sunday, the third after Easter, was the highlight: solemn mass presided over by Father Alfio Li Noce, the symbolic offering of wheat ears by the Confraternity of the Odigitria, the lowering of the statue from its niche, and the procession of the baroque float through the historic center, arriving at Piazza Duomo amidst folkloric tributes. The day ended with a fireworks display in Piazza San Domenico. The octave then accompanied the community until May 18. The event was promoted by the Confraternity of San Giuseppe, with the support of the Department of Culture and the Sicilian Region.
