Edition 2025 — San Giovanni Bosco

In January 2025, Riesi celebrated San Giovanni Bosco, the town's co-patron, with the usual Salesian festivities. The Holy Mass in the church dedicated to the saint, presided over by the director of the Salesian community, was followed by the procession of the Don Bosco statue through the streets, with the participation of religious, civil, and military authorities. The Sweet Fair, tastings of local products, and fireworks on Viale Don Bosco were also highlights.

The 2025 edition of the San Giovanni Bosco Festival in Riesi, in the province of Caltanissetta, confirmed the vitality of a deeply rooted tradition. Around January 31st, the community gathered for Holy Mass in the church dedicated to the saint of youth and for the procession of the Don Bosco statue along the city streets.

Alongside the religious rites, the program offered the traditional Sweet Fair with tastings of local products, from traditional Riesi sweets to citrus fruits and products from the Salso Valley. The festival concluded with fireworks in front of the church on Viale Don Bosco, sealing one of the town's most heartfelt winter events.
