San Giovanni Battista Fair and Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint John the Baptist Festival in Patù was part of a rich period of celebrations. A few days earlier, on June 21st and 22nd, the town hosted the 10th edition of the Corpus Domini Flower Festival: a carpet of petals, leaves, and wild herbs about 250 meters long along Via Principe di Napoli, blessed and walked upon by the Eucharistic procession. The floral displays remained visible until June 24th, the day of Saint John.

The day of the Saint was marked, according to tradition, by Holy Masses in the Church of Saint John the Baptist, the procession, and the brass band concert. In the streets of the historic center, the historic Saint John's Fair took place, with stalls selling clothing, handicrafts, jewelry, and local products, including wines and dishes of Salento cuisine.
