San Giovanni a Fiori (Lu San Giuvanne a Fiure)

The 2025 edition of San Giovanni a Fiori in Torricella Sicura, in the province of Teramo, followed the tradition of the feast of Saint John the Baptist on June 24. The event featured the elements that define its identity: the re-enactment of the 'comparatico' ritual, with the presentation of wildflower bouquets that seal the bond of spiritual brotherhood, the 'aperitivo del compare', food stalls with local specialties, and live music.

The free-entry festival confirmed its role as a sentimental appointment for the local community, capable of passing down one of the most evocative customs of inland Abruzzo and enlivening the first summer evenings in the village.
