The 2025 edition

From 3 to 25 July 2025, Largo San Giorgio in Rieti hosted four weeks of performances promoted by the Fondazione Varrone with the support of the Municipality. Eight events, always on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:00 PM, with free admission until all seats were filled.

The festival opened on 3 July with a tribute to Franco Battiato, in the year the Sicilian singer-songwriter would have turned eighty, followed on 4 July by "Ti racconto l'Opera!" dedicated to Verdi's La Traviata. The second week featured "San Giorgio sotto le stelle", with Neapolitan songs and operetta, and the Teatro Potlach show on Hugo Pratt and his double: Corto Maltese. The third week saw Cinzia Leone with her comedy monologue and the "Best Musical Ever" evening with a twenty-three-piece orchestra. The finale was entrusted to jazz: on 24 July, a tribute to Duke Ellington by Matteo Troili's orchestra, and on 25 July, the Rieti Jazz Orchestra with "Swing all'italiana".
