San Gandolfo Festival (Fera di San Gandolfo)

The 2025 edition of the San Gandolfo Festival in Polizzi Generosa (Palermo) had its main day on Sunday, September 22, 2025, in line with the tradition that sets the festivities on the third Sunday of September. The celebrations, preceded by the octave of prayer in the Mother Church, were spread over the usual three days.

On Saturday afternoon, the first procession with the wooden statue of the Saint took place; on Sunday, after the Solemn Mass, the procession of the 16th-century silver urn containing the relics was held, accompanied by confraternities, authorities, and the faithful; on Monday, the statue returned to the hermitage. The event was framed by the fair featuring typical Madonie products and traditional fireworks.
