2025 San Foca Patronal Feast

The 2025 edition took place from August 18 to 22 in the marina of San Foca, a district of Melendugno, in a special year marked by the first centenary of the Maria SS. Assunta Parish. The festival combined the solemnity of sacred rites with the liveliness of musical evenings, attracting residents and tourists in the heart of the Salento summer.

On August 18, the Holy Mass and the procession through the streets of the marina opened the festivities, followed by the grand brass band concert of the City of Francavilla Fontana. On August 19, the evocative sea procession was renewed, with the restored statue of the Saint carried on a decorated fishing boat to Torre dell'Orso, and the mass presided over by the Archbishop of Lecce. On August 20, the festival reached its peak with the concert in Piazza del Popolo, blending tradition and entertainment.

2025 Program

• Monday, August 18 - 7:30 PM Holy Mass in the church and procession through the streets of the marina; in the evening, Grand Brass Band Concert of the City of Francavilla Fontana (Maestro Ermir Krantja).
• Tuesday, August 19 - 10:00 AM traditional sea procession from the port, with the statue of San Foca on a decorated fishing boat to Torre dell'Orso; 7:30 PM mass presided over by the Archbishop of Lecce, Angelo Raffaele Panzetta; in the evening, concerts by the bands of the City of Manduria and the City of Rutigliano.
• Wednesday, August 20 - 9:00 PM in Piazza del Popolo, concert by Enzo Petrachi with Tonino Carotone and Cesko; presentation of the book "Prendi il largo" on the hundred years of the parish.
• Thursday, August 21 - Piazza del Popolo, "90s Disco Dance" evening with the Sudoers.
• Friday, August 22 - Torre Sant'Andrea, concert with the band Ballarock.
