San Filippo Neri Patronal Feast

The 2025 edition of the San Filippo Neri Patronal Feast enlivened the Amiata village of Piancastagnaio. On Saturday, May 24th, the new youth community center was inaugurated in the presence of Bishop Bernardino Giordano. On Sunday, May 25th, after an afternoon of music and dancing, the transfer of the Saint's statue from the Church of San Filippo Neri to the parish church of Santa Maria Assunta took place at 5:00 PM, followed in the evening by the traditional hot-air balloon release from the Nasini Gardens. On Monday, May 26th, the patron saint's day, the morning was dedicated to the children's footrace at the Madonna di San Pietro Equestrian Theme Park, while the festival concluded with a fireworks display from the Nasini Gardens.
