Four Centuries of Tradition
The San Fermo Festival in Albiate, in the province of Monza and Brianza, is one of the oldest events in all of Brianza: it has been celebrated continuously since 1609. A rare continuity, which makes it an identity-defining event and a living testament to the agricultural culture of the area.
The Festival in Villa Campello Park
The festival takes place in Villa Campello Park and around the Sanctuary of San Fermo. The program reflects the rural roots of the festival: the livestock exhibition with animals on display, the evocative parade of tractors with traditional blessing, and gastronomic competitions dedicated to typical dishes. There are also activities for the little ones, with old-fashioned wooden games, inflatables, creative workshops, and sensory paths.
Between Market, Cuisine, and Community
The market with stalls, themed exhibitions, catering services, and many family-friendly initiatives are held alongside the traditional events. Organized by the Associazione Amici di San Fermo APS (Friends of San Fermo Association) in collaboration with the Municipality of Albiate, the festival is a complete celebration that combines memory, devotion, and fun, and which every year brings to life one of the longest-standing traditions in Brianza.
