San Donato Festival

The 2025 edition of the San Donato Festival confirmed the vitality of one of the most deep-rooted patronal feasts in lower Salento. In the municipality of San Donato di Lecce, in the province of Lecce, the festivities were concentrated on August 6 and 7, with the solemn procession of the patron's silver statue through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the band and popular devotion.

The town was illuminated with traditional lights, while the bandstand hosted brass band concerts and live music and Salento folklore performances, according to a consolidated tradition that has brought local groups and artists to the square over the years. Fireworks closed the festivities. On August 7, as is customary, the large regional Expo San Donato fair took place with its numerous stalls. The celebrations then continued with the octave on August 14 and the patronage on August 28.
