The 30th edition in the Serra di San Donato

The 2025-2026 edition of the San Donato di Lecce Living Nativity, the thirtieth, was staged in the Serra di San Donato, along the paths of the Museum of Popular Traditions. Evening openings were held on December 25, 26, and 28, 2025, and January 1 and 6, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with free admission.

Organized by the Amici del Presepe A.P.S. Association, the performance brought the Bethlehem grotto, the 'piscialetta' oven, and ancient craft workshops to life with over 200 performers from the community of San Donato di Lecce, in the Province of Lecce. Thousands of visitors walked through the alleys and trails of the Serra, rediscovering the gestures and flavors of a long-lost rural world, in one of the most deeply rooted Christmas traditions in Salento.
