Edition 2025 — San Candido Welcome

On January 1st, 2025, San Candido/Innichen greeted the New Year with its free open-air celebration. The ski show by instructors on Mount Baranci, the musical parade from the Franciscan Convent to Piazza del Magistrato, and the welcome toast with New Year's greetings marked the afternoon, while torches illuminated the new year on Mount San Candido.

San Candido's 2025 New Year's Celebration

The January 1st, 2025 celebration renewed the tradition of San Candido, in the Upper Puster Valley (Province of Bolzano). The afternoon began with a ski show by instructors from the San Candido Ski and Snowboard School on the slopes of Mount Baranci, followed by a parade of the marching band, ski instructors, and winter sports athletes from the Franciscan Convent to Piazza del Magistrato. Here, New Year's greetings and a welcome toast concluded the day, with the number of the new year traced by torches on Mount San Candido. A free event open to residents and visitors of the Sesto Dolomites.
