Edition 2025 — San Calogero
San Calogero Festival 2025
On August 18, 2025, the village of Ventimiglia di Sicilia, in the province of Palermo, renewed its ancient devotion to San Calogero, the hermit venerated throughout the island as the "Black Saint." The day was marked by religious rites and the most anticipated moment, the procession of the statue of the Saint along the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the prayers of devotees and the notes of the local band.
Surrounding the sacred dimension, the community also experienced the festival in its more convivial aspect: food stalls with local specialties, artisan markets, games and activities for children, music, and evening entertainment in the squares. To close the festivities, the usual fireworks display illuminated the summer sky, attracting faithful, curious onlookers, and tourists from all over the territory.
