San Calogero Festival in Villalba

The San Calogero Festival in Villalba concluded the Villalba Summer program on Sunday, August 31, 2025. On this late August day, the community gathered around the figure of the Black Saint, with religious celebrations and the traditional blessing of the votive bread offered by the faithful.

Moments of faith were joined by the final musical evening of the summer, which transformed the square into a meeting point for locals and visitors. The recurrence confirmed the town's strong bond with the cult of San Calogero, renewed every year on June 18th as well, and with the heritage of popular traditions of the province of Caltanissetta.
