Edition 2025 — San Biagio Comiso

The 2025 edition of the San Biagio Festival in Comiso reached its peak on Sunday, July 13, the second Sunday of the month, with the grand external patronal feast. In the preceding days, solemn Eucharistic celebrations took place in the Church of San Biagio, presided over by various priests, while on Sunday, the saint's statue was carried in procession in the late afternoon through the streets of the historic center, welcomed by the devotion of the entire Comiso community.

The 2025 edition

The San Biagio Festival 2025 took place in Comiso, in the Ragusa province, with its highlight on Sunday, July 13. The religious program was spread over the preceding days with Holy Masses in the Church of San Biagio: among the celebrants were Friar Daniel Moraru and Father Biagio Aprile, while the rector Father Fabio Stracquadaini led the services.

On Sunday, the solemn exit of the statue was scheduled for 6:00 PM, accompanied by the traditional scenic release of flyers and the procession of the float through the city streets. The most characteristic rituals of the Comiso festival were present, from the 'u viaggiu of the devotees to the 'ntocci, in a day of great popular participation that confirmed the central role of San Biagio in the city's identity.
