Edition 2025 — San Biagio
In 2025, the San Biagio district of Castell'Umberto once again celebrated its patron saint in early February in the Nebrodi mountains. The community participated in the pilgrimage, the procession of the statue through the district, the blessing of the throat with crossed candles, and the distribution of the traditional blessed San Biagio bread rolls.
The 2025 edition of the San Biagio Festival was held in early February in the San Biagio district of Castell'Umberto, in the Nebrodi mountains in the province of Messina. The community renewed its ancient devotion to the martyr and protector of the throat with liturgical celebrations, the procession of the statue, the blessing of the throat, and the distribution of the San Biagio bread rolls, confirming the continuity of a tradition deeply rooted in the Nebrodi territory.
