Edition 2025 — San Bartolo dei Pescatori
On February 13, 2025, Lipari celebrated San Bartolo dei Pescatori, the first of four annual commemorations dedicated to the patron saint of the Aeolian Islands. The day featured the traditional banner auction at Marina Corta, contested by fishing families, followed by the procession and mass in the Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew, in an atmosphere of intense maritime devotion.
The February 13, 2025 edition of San Bartolo dei Pescatori confirmed the strong roots of this winter festival in Lipari. At Marina Corta, the banner auction took place, with the winning fishing family tasked with keeping and carrying the standard in the year's processions. The celebrations continued with the procession through the village streets and Holy Mass in the Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew, renewing the bond between the Aeolian community and its patron saint.
