Edition 2025 — San Bartolo dei Contadini
The 2025 edition
On March 6, 2025, Lipari renewed its devotion to Saint Bartholomew with the farmers' festival, moved from March 5th to the 6th due to Lent. The procession carried the silver statue of the saint, the Vascelluzzo, and the sacred relic through the historic center, accompanied by the traditional candlelight vigil that formed a large heart of flames at the base of the Co-cathedral of Saint Bartholomew's steps.
The edition maintained its strong commemorative component, honoring the three young men from Lipari who were victims of the 1915 collapse. The usual fireworks could not take place due to logistical reasons, but community participation remained intense and heartfelt, confirming the deep bond between the island and its patron.
