Salmeggia 400

In 2025, the Salmeggia 400 project took its first steps, with preparatory work promoted by the Municipality of Nembro and the Fondazione Adriano Bernareggi in anticipation of the fourth centenary of the death of Enea Salmeggia, known as 'il Talpino', in 2026. The initial phase involved surveying the painter's works preserved in the churches of the Seriana Valley and the Bergamo area, studying his life, and constructing the calendar of cultural events that would animate Nembro in 2026. A path designed to restore centrality to one of the great protagonists of 17th-century Lombard painting, a native of the hamlet of Salmezza.
