Salita delle Miniere

The prelude to the birth of the event

The Salita delle Miniere is a new event, born in Montecatini Val di Cecina in 2026: in 2025, it was not yet on the calendar. The territory of the Val di Cecina, in the province of Pisa, had, however, long cultivated a passion for engines and its own mining identity.

In the summer of 2025, the municipality's calendar included motor rallies in the hamlet of Ponteginori and traditional village festivals, such as the Festa dei Ramai hosted at the Mining Museum, a testament to that bond between community, engines, and industrial memory that would later inspire the first Salita delle Miniere in 2026.
