SalinaDocFest – Messina Preview

The Messina preview of the 19th edition of the SalinaDocFest was held on June 7 and 8, 2025, at Cinema Apollo, anticipating the main event in Salina (July 15–20, 2025) on the theme "New words / New images".

The SDF Fondazione Messina for Culture Award was presented to actor Elio Germano, fresh from winning the David di Donatello for Best Actor for "Berlinguer - La grande ambizione". Guests included writer Lidia Ravera, journalist Marcello Sorgi, and Marco Morricone. The program featured documentary and film screenings, book presentations, and dialogues with the public, confirming Messina's role as a gateway to the festival directed by Giovanna Taviani.
