Edition 2025 — Saints Joachim and Anne Festival

In 2025, the patronal feast of Vernole was held as tradition dictates on July 25th and 26th, in honor of Saints Joachim and Anne. The days featured liturgical celebrations with preparatory novenas, masses, and the solemn evening procession, accompanied by civil events: illuminations in the town center, brass band concerts, traditional Salento music, food stalls, and the customary fireworks display to conclude the festivities.

The 2025 edition of the Saints Joachim and Anne Festival brought Vernole to life on July 25th and 26th. The religious program, preceded by novenas, had its most solemn moment in the procession on the eve, with the participation of the community and many former residents who returned for the occasion. The evenings offered brass band concerts, illuminations, and food stalls with Salento specialties, while the traditional fireworks display closed the festivities. A festival that confirms the strong bond of the Salento village with its patron saints.
