Saints Cosmas and Damian Patronal Festival

2025 Edition

The 2025 Saints Cosmas and Damian Festival took place in Alberobello from September 25 to 28, marking 389 years of an uninterrupted tradition. The four-day event, organized by the Patronal Festival Committee led by president Lorenzo Pugliese together with the parish and the Municipality, combined religious celebrations, culture, and entertainment in the heart of the city of the trulli.

The musical highlight was the Tiromancino concert on Friday, September 26, at 9:00 PM in Largo Martellotta, serving as the grand finale of the "We are in Trulli 2025" summer program. On Saturday, September 27, the wreath-laying ceremony at the War Memorial took place, followed by the morning procession from Piazza Curri, while in the evening at 10:45 PM, a grand fireworks display in the Popoleto area lit up the sky. On Sunday, September 28, the authorities gathered in Piazza Curri for the solemn afternoon procession. The festivities were framed by artistic illuminations between Piazza del Popolo, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and Via Indipendenza, along with traditional brass band concerts.

Thursday, September 25

• Opening of the festivities and ancient fair

Friday, September 26

Saturday, September 27

• 4:00 AM – First mass and start of the pilgrimage
• 10:30 AM – Wreath-laying at the War Memorial, followed by the morning procession from Piazza Curri
• 10:45 PM – Grand fireworks display in the Popoleto area

Sunday, September 28

• 5:00 PM – Gathering of authorities in Piazza Curri
• Followed by – Solemn afternoon procession of the statues of the Saints Cosmas and Damian
