Edition 2025 — Saints Cosmas and Damian Festival
The 2025 edition of the Festival of Saints Cosmas and Damian took place in Nardò on September 25th and 26th, confirming the centuries-old tradition linked to the local sanctuary. The two days saw a succession of masses at the sanctuary and the procession through the streets of the historic center, accompanied by the band and the participation of the faithful.
Surrounding the religious rites were the usual public festivities, with illuminations lighting up the streets and market stalls. The festival confirmed the strong bond of the Nardò community, in the province of Lecce, with the cult of the two healing saints, one of the most deeply rooted devotional events in Salento.
