Saints Cosmas and Damian Festival

2025 Edition

The Saints Cosmas and Damian Festival enlivened the historic center of Gallipoli from September 25th to 28th, 2025. On Thursday, September 25th, at 6:30 PM, the solemn Eucharistic concelebration was presided over by Monsignor Vincenzo Pisanello, Bishop of Oria, with the Sant'Antonio di Padova Polyphonic Choir of Parabita; at 7:30 PM, the procession traveled through the alleys of the old town accompanied by the Confraternity of the Most Holy Crucifix and the Santa Cecilia Wind Orchestra.

On Friday, September 26th, the liturgical day of the saints, morning and evening masses were held in the Church of the Saints, while at 9:00 PM, Piazzetta Santa Teresa hosted the Grand Brass Band Concert "City of Francavilla Fontana". The evenings of September 27th and 28th completed the program with musical performances, amidst artistic light displays and fireworks, confirming the strong bond of the Gallipoli community with its patron saints.

• Friday, September 26 - Holy masses at 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 7:30 PM in the Church of the Saints; 9:00 PM: Grand Brass Band Concert "City of Francavilla Fontana" in Piazzetta Santa Teresa.
• Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September - Evening musical performances, light displays, and fireworks in the historic center.
