Saint Stephen the Protomartyr Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Stephen the Protomartyr Festival took place on August 2nd and 3rd, 2025, in Santo Stefano del Sole (province of Avellino, Campania), as part of the summer program «Vivi Santo Stefano – 500 years of Community», which celebrated the town's five-hundredth anniversary from July 7th to September 21st.

On Saturday, August 2nd, at 9:00 PM, Piazza del Sole hosted the «Siamo alla frutta» evening, organized by the Saint Stephen the Protomartyr Committee, which has long become the unofficial opening of the festivities, attracting a young audience from neighboring towns. On Sunday, August 3rd, the square was the center of the Saint Stephen the Protomartyr feast, featuring religious celebrations and a civil program.

Surrounding the two patronal days, the summer of 2025 offered a significant calendar for a village of two thousand inhabitants: the concert by Eugenio Bennato on July 20th, the performance by the Cimarosa Conservatory on August 9th, the philatelic cancellation and the concert by Mariella Nava in trio on August 10th, the Bike Kids Experience on August 16th, and, at the end of the month, the Saint Vitus Martyr celebrations with the Whole Roasted Podolica Veal Festival.
