Saint Sebastian Patronal Feast

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, Gaggi celebrated its patronal feast in honor of Saint Sebastian. The celebrations were concentrated, as is tradition, on the second Sunday of August, with the historic center decorated with colorful arches, lights, flowers, and flags.

After the evening Mass in honor of the Patron, during which the faithful paid homage to the Saint with flowers and hymns, the procession of the vara took place: the statue of Saint Sebastian was carried on the shoulders of devotees through the village streets, amidst the moving participation of the community. The day concluded at night with the fireworks display that illuminated the sky over the Alcantara Valley, in the province of Messina.
