Edition 2025 — Saint Sebastian Festival
The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of Galatone took place on January 19th and 20th, following the usual calendar of religious and secular rites. The procession with the relic and statue of Saint Sebastian traversed the historic center, accompanied by brass bands and city authorities.
As per tradition, the culmination of the festivities was the "sparu ti la freccia": the flaming arrow, launched from the Santuario del SS. Crocifisso della Pietà, traveled along the steel cable to the clock tower, amidst illuminations and fireworks, to draw a good omen for the year.
