In January 2025, the Municipality of Fumone promoted the «Saint Sebastian Martyr Festivities 2025», confirming the full resumption of the patronal feast after the difficult years of the pandemic. As tradition dictates, the appointment of the new 'festarolo' by lottery was held on January 17th at the town hall, while on January 20th, the community gathered around the saint's statue for the procession through the historic center.

There was no shortage of the gestures that make this event unique in Lazio: the handing over of the mace topped with the bust of Saint Sebastian to the incoming 'festarolo', the distribution of panata accompanied by bread and wine, and the tossing of ciambelle tied to olive branches toward the square. The festival was then repeated, according to local custom, on the Monday following Pentecost.
