Saint Rose Festival — Transport of the Macchina di Santa Rosa

The 2025 edition of the Saint Rose Festival confirmed the charm of Dies Natalis, in its second year of parading after its 2024 debut. The early assembly of the structure in the heart of Viterbo allowed locals and visitors to admire the Macchina up close in the days leading up to the festival.

As per tradition, on September 2nd, the historical pageant and the procession with the Heart of Saint Rose crossed the center, while on the evening of September 3rd, the Porters of Saint Rose carried out the Transport along the classic route, from Porta Romana to the final climb towards the Sanctuary, amidst the city's dimmed lights and the emotion of the crowd. On September 4th, the liturgical celebrations and the Saint Rose Fair concluded the most intense days of the patronal feast, a UNESCO Intangible Heritage site within the Network of Italian Shoulder-Borne Processional Structures.
