Saint Peter's Festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Peter's Festival in Riposto was particularly significant due to the return, after fifteen years, of the sea procession. On Saturday, June 28th, at 11:00 AM, the saint's relic was carried in procession to the fish market for the blessing of the fishermen and fishmongers; at 4:30 PM, the statue left the church to be embarked at the Commercial Port onto a fishing boat, beginning the crossing towards Torre Archirafi. In the evening, the concert La Sicilia in musica was held with artists from the island. On Sunday, June 29th, the day of the solemnity, the high mass was presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Patti, followed in the evening by the traditional procession of the statue through the streets of Riposto.
