About Saint Peter's Festival Faedo

At the end of June, the small hamlet of Faedo, in the Euganean Hills of Cinto Euganeo in the Padua region, celebrates its patron saint Peter with a village festival focused on friendship. Organized by the Faedo Festival Committee, the event enlivens the last weekends of June with a food stand offering typical Euganean Hills dishes and excellent local wines, a Poetry Review, and the traditional Painting Exhibition. A convivial gathering immersed in the green hills, where gastronomy, culture, and social life intertwine.

A Patronal Feast in the Heart of the Euganean Hills

Amidst the gentle slopes of the Euganean Hills, the hamlet of Faedo, in Cinto Euganeo within the province of Padua, annually celebrates its patron saint Saint Peter (whose feast day falls on June 29th) with a festival traditionally held on the last weekends of June. Organized by the Faedo Festival Committee, the event is founded on friendship and conviviality, values that have always animated this small hillside community.

The Flavours of the Hills on the Table

The food stand is the heart of the event, offering typical dishes from Euganean Hills cuisine, accompanied by excellent local wines. Among the specialties documented in recent editions: gnocchi and bigoli, musso (donkey meat, a Venetian tradition), grilled salami with pancetta, cold dishes, and assorted desserts. Authentic cuisine that tells the story of the gastronomic identity of Padua and the Veneto region.

Poetry, Painting, and Culture

The Saint Peter's Festival is not just about food. The program includes a Poetry Review and the traditional Painting Exhibition, both open to all interested individuals. A rare combination of a village festival and cultural moments, making Faedo a celebration with a dual soul, both popular and refined.

A Community Gathering

For the small hamlet of Faedo, the patronal feast is the time of year when the village comes together and welcomes visitors to the Euganean Hills. An authentic celebration, far from large crowds, which preserves the convivial spirit of Veneto's village festivals, immersed in the hilly landscape of the Euganean Hills Regional Park.
