About Saint Peter's Festival

At the end of June, the hamlet of Brenton di Roncà, in the eastern Veronese hills, celebrates its patron saint, Saint Peter. The typical dishes of peasant cuisine, Sopressa De.Co., and Durello wine return to the village streets, accompanied by music and entertainment. The festival also hosts the Three Valleys March, a walk through the vineyards of Lessinia.

The patron saint's festival in the Durello hills

The Saint Peter's Festival takes place in Brenton, a hamlet of the municipality of Roncà, in the province of Verona, in the heart of the volcanic hills of eastern Verona. Dedicated to the patron saint, it is a typical village festival that combines devotion, conviviality, and love for the land, in one of the areas most suited to the production of Durello wine.

The flavours of peasant tradition

In the village streets, stalls offer the typical dishes of peasant cuisine, featuring Sopressa De.Co. (Municipal Designation) and Durello wine, the flagship product of the Roncà area. It is an opportunity to rediscover the authentic flavours of Lessinia in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

The Three Valleys March

The festival also hosts the Three Valleys March, a non-competitive walk that crosses the hilly and vineyard landscapes of the area. A proposal that combines gentle sport, nature, and discovery of the territory, perfect for families and walking enthusiasts.

A community festival

Organised with the support of the Pro Loco of Roncà, the Saint Peter's Festival in Brenton testifies to the vitality of the patronal feasts of the Veronese area, where volunteerism and hamlet identity translate into days of music, taste, and shared celebration.
