Edition 2025 — Saint Peter and the Sea

The 2025 edition of the Saint Peter and the Sea Festival took place in Balestrate on Saturday, June 28th, and Sunday, June 29th. Two days of faith and celebration: the Fish Festival on Via Paolino Gesugrande, evening shows in the square, the morning wake-up call, Holy Mass, and the solemn procession of the saint to the harbor, with the grand finale of fireworks at the Via Madonna del Ponte viewpoint.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Peter and the Sea Festival was held in Balestrate (PA) on Saturday, June 28th, and Sunday, June 29th, organized by the Pro Loco Balestrate APS with the patronage of the Regional Tourism Department, the Municipality of Balestrate, and the Sanctuary of Sant'Anna.

The first evening, Saturday the 28th, opened at 7:00 PM with the Fish Festival on Via Paolino Gesugrande and, at 10:00 PM in Piazza Rettore Filippo Evola, with a musical show featuring the "Non dire no" tribute band dedicated to Lucio Battisti, cabaret by Alessandro Gandolfo, and a DJ set by Lo Coco. Sunday, June 29th, had a more religious character: at 7:00 AM the alborata (morning wake-up call), at 9:00 AM Holy Mass and the solemn procession at the Church of Saint Peter accompanied by the Mediterranean Musical Association of Palermo, at 11:00 AM Mass at the Via Madonna del Ponte viewpoint, and at 7:00 PM the celebration and procession to the harbor in honor of Saint Peter. The day concluded at 10:00 PM with the fireworks display.

  • 11:00 AM — Holy Mass at the Via Madonna del Ponte viewpoint
  • 7:00 PM — Celebration and procession at the Balestrate Harbor in honor of Saint Peter
  • 10:00 PM — Fireworks display at the Via Madonna del Ponte viewpoint
