Edition 2025 — Saint Pancras Festival

In 2025, Giardini-Naxos celebrated its patron saint, Saint Pancras, on August 9th and 10th. The festival renewed the tradition with the re-enactment of the Saint's landing on Lungomare Tysandros, the flag-waver parade, the Sciabica with fishermen in costume, and fireworks. On August 10th, the evocative sea procession featured boats from the three fishing districts of Saja, Pietragoliti, and Schisò, marking one of the most cherished summer events on the Ionian coast of Messina.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Pancras Festival took place on August 9th and 10th in Giardini-Naxos, in the province of Messina, confirming the traditional calendar of the patronal feast.

The community re-enacted the landing of Saint Pancras on the beach of Naxos, with flag-wavers, the Sciabica, and fireworks on the first day. The second day culminated in the sea procession with the boats of the Saja, Pietragoliti, and Schisò districts, accompanied by the Sea Festival at the Saja harbor, amidst popular devotion and maritime tradition.
