Edition 2025 — Saint Pancras

On April 3rd, 2025, Canicattì celebrated its civic patron, Saint Pancras of Antioch, with traditional religious services at the Mother Church on Via Duomo. The occasion, rooted for centuries in the life of the community, renewed popular devotion to the saintly bishop of Taormina in an appointment of faith and civic identity in the heart of the Agrigento area.

The 2025 edition of the Saint Pancras festival took place on April 3rd at the Mother Church of Canicattì, according to the Roman liturgy. The celebrations centered on the Via Duomo sanctuary, with a solemn mass in honor of the city's civic patron and moments of prayer that draw the faithful from the town and surrounding areas each year.

The festival is part of the rich devotional tradition of Canicattì, a city in the province of Agrigento also famous for its solemn Holy Week celebrations, and testifies to the centuries-old bond between the community and the saint of Antiochene origin, venerated here since the Byzantine era.
