Saint Nicholas of Bari Patronal Feast

The feast of the patron saint Saint Nicholas of Bari in Calascio took place on Sunday, May 11, 2025. The solemn Holy Mass was celebrated at 11:00 AM in the church of San Nicola, while in the afternoon, at 4:30 PM, the procession with the statue of the patron saint took place through the streets of the village's historic center. As per tradition, the day combined religious devotion with the participation of the Calascio community, in the evocative mountain setting at the foot of Rocca Calascio, in the Gran Sasso National Park.
