Saint Nicholas of Bari Festival in Roccavaldina

The 2025 edition

The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas of Bari Festival renewed the ancient devotion to the patron saint in Roccavaldina, in the Province of Messina. As every year, the festivities opened on December 4th with the transfer of the saint's statue to the high altar of the Duomo di San Nicolò, followed by days of Eucharistic celebrations and moments of prayer.

The most anticipated moment was the procession on December 6th: after the solemn Holy Mass, the patron saint's statue was carried in procession through the village streets, accompanied by a brass band and a large turnout of the faithful, in an atmosphere of faith and celebration that confirmed the strong bond between the local community and its patron saint.
