Saint Nicholas of Bari Festival in Isnello

The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas of Bari Festival took place in Isnello, in the Madonie mountains, from September 5th to 7th, confirming the traditional structure of the festivities.

After the octave of preparation, the candlelight vigil took place on the eve through the streets of the historic center, with the faithful singing the ancient Lodi to Saint Nicholas. September 7th was the main day: a solemn sung Mass in the morning and, in the afternoon, the procession of the wooden statue from the 15th century, carried on the shoulders of devotees, preceded by the saints' banners and accompanied by the marching band. Along the route, at pre-established points, the frottole—the characteristic compositions in the Sicilian dialect inscribed in the Register of Intangible Heritage of the Sicilian Region—resounded, closing a festival that renews the identity of the Isnello community every year.
