Saint Nicholas Festival 2025 in Trecastagni

The 2025 edition took place according to the traditional calendar, with the opening on the last Sunday of November and the external celebration on the first Sunday of December, December 7th, 2025. That day, the statue of Saint Nicholas, carried on the shoulders of devotees wearing the votive sack, emerged from the portal of the Mother Church, greeted by firecrackers, fireworks, bells, and the throwing of flowers and colorful ribbons.

Placed on an artistic float, the statue traveled through the Tondo, Sant'Alfio, and Matrice districts, with the traditional entry into Largo dei Bianchi welcomed by the sound of trumpets. In the afternoon, after the pontifical mass, the second procession with the Relics of the Patron Saint took place. December 6th, the liturgical day of Saint Nicholas, was dedicated exclusively to religious ceremonies, with the participation of students from the schools of the town of Trecastagni.
