Edition 2025 — Saint Nicholas in Proves
On December 6, 2025, Proves/Proveis celebrated the Saint Nicholas Festival, the feast of the parish church's patron saint. The community gathered for a solemn Holy Mass, followed by the traditional reception in the square in front of the church, in an atmosphere of celebration and sharing typical of the small villages of the Upper Val di Non at the beginning of Advent.
Saint Nicholas Festival 2025
The 2025 edition took place on December 6th in Proves/Proveis, in the Upper Val di Non. As every year, the central moment was the Holy Mass in honor of Saint Nicholas in the neo-Gothic parish church dedicated to the patron saint, followed by a reception in the square, free and open to all. The festival, supported by the village's young farmers, confirmed the intimate and communal character of this Alpine tradition in the smallest municipality of the province of Bolzano.
