Saint Nicholas Festival in Tricase Porto

The 2025 festival

The 2025 edition of the Saint Nicholas Festival enlivened Tricase Porto on August 12th and 13th, attracting residents, locals returning for the holidays, and tourists. The fish festival on August 12th opened the festivities with food stalls on the promenade, while the Saint's day, August 13th, saw religious celebrations in the parish church of Saint Nicholas and the traditional sea procession at dusk. The return of the statue to the harbor was greeted by illuminations and a fireworks display reflected on the water, the grand finale of a festival that combines faith, sea, and Salento tradition.

August 12 — Fish Festival

• Food stalls on the harbor promenade with fried paranza, pittule, and seafood specialties

August 13 — Saint Nicholas Festival

• Religious celebrations in the parish church of Saint Nicholas
• At sunset, sea procession: the statue of the Saint is embarked and accompanied by a parade of boats
