Saint Michael the Archangel Patronal Feast

In 2025, the community of Patù, in the Province of Lecce, gathered again on September 29th to honor Saint Michael the Archangel, the town's patron saint and titular of the 16th-century mother church. The day followed the well-established pattern of Salento patronal feasts: religious celebrations and the procession of the Archangel's statue through the streets of the historic center decorated with lights, accompanied by a brass band.

In the evening, public festivities took place, featuring a musical performance in the square and the community atmosphere typical of the small villages in the Capo di Leuca. As per tradition, the celebrations concluded with a fireworks display, which illuminated the sky of Patù, bidding farewell to the 2025 edition of the feast.
