Saint Michael the Archangel Festival

The 2025 Saint Michael the Archangel Festival brought Montemesola (TA) to life from August 29th to 31st, with a lineup celebrating the ten years of the Festival Committee's activity. Every evening at 9:00 PM in Piazza IV Novembre, with free admission, the town welcomed thousands of visitors.

On Friday the 29th, the Giovane Orchestra Ionica, a group of about fifty musicians, performed great cinema soundtracks with a tribute to Ennio Morricone. Saturday the 30th featured the Terraròss, with pizzica, tambourines, and songs from the Southern folk tradition. Sunday the 31st, the main day, included the solemn procession of the statue, escorted by the State Police and the Air Force Riflemen of the 16th Wing of Martina Franca, the presentation of the Saint Michael Award (second edition) to three individuals, the fireworks display, and the grand finale with the Celentano Tribute Show dedicated to Adriano Celentano.

• Friday, August 29th — Concert by the Giovane Orchestra Ionica (approx. fifty members) featuring famous cinema soundtracks and a tribute to Ennio Morricone.
• Saturday, August 30th — Live performance by the Terraròss: pizzica, tambourines, and songs from the Southern folk tradition.
• Sunday, August 31st — Solemn procession of the Saint Michael the Archangel statue, presentation of the Saint Michael Award (second edition), fireworks display, and 'Celentano Tribute Show' dedicated to Adriano Celentano.

All performances started at 9:00 PM in Piazza IV Novembre, with free admission. A food area with local specialties was available.
